Trust yourself. You know more than you think you do.
Hello :) My name is Hilla Niethammer. I was born in Hamburg and lived there for 19 years until I moved to Flensburg. Since then, I have been studying elementary school teaching as well as German and science education. Although I could have studied in in my hometown, but I wanted to challenge myslef and move away from home. Fortunately that was the right decision, because I now feel that Flensburg is my home away from home. Thankfully, due to the convenient distance to Hamburg, I am also able to take weekend trips back to Hamburg and meet old friends.
Some of my hobbies include sports, being creative, meeting friends for coffee, and travelling. A life long dream of mine has been to travel to Norway or Iceland to see the northern lights. I also want to finish my trip in Australia, since it was unfortunately interrupted by Corona. Hopefully this time around I can make it to New Zealand and explore the country there with a camper.
Although I am very interested in seeing other parts of the world, Germany also has a lot to offer. Every city is unique, each differing in architecture, history and people. I traveled through Germany last summer and got to know my own country much better. In the north you have the seas and in the south the mountains, but both have friendly and accommodating people.
I decided to study abroad in Krems because I found the city very cute from the pictures and loved the proximity to Vienna. Another perk was it's distance from my home, this was friends and family could visit and I could show them around.
